Who we are.

The Hill Country Children's Foundation was founded alongside Hill Country Day School because we believe access to great early education should never be an accident of circumstance.

Our Mission.

The mission of the Hill Country Children's Foundation is to expand access to nature-based, child-centered early education for children and families across the Texas Hill Country, ensuring that a child's first school experience is rich, intentional, and available to all, regardless of financial means. We are equally committed to stewarding the land we learn on, preserving native habitats, conserving water, and modeling environmental responsibility for the children in our care.

Our Story.

Hill Country Day School started with a simple belief: that children in New Braunfels deserve something better than what currently exists. A school built around how children actually learn. Educators who are paid what they are worth. An outdoor environment that treats nature as the classroom it is.

Building that school meant asking a harder question: what about the families who believe in this vision but cannot afford it? The Foundation is our answer.

We are not a charity that hands out discounts. We are a community institution that believes the best schools are built by the people in them. Scholarship families are partners. They show up. They contribute. They belong.

We also made a commitment to the land itself. The 5.5 acres we build on are Texas Hill Country, and we intend to take care of them. Native habitat preservation, rainwater collection, and outdoor spaces designed around the natural environment are not amenities, they are part of the education.
